We run what we build. The reason is simple: whoever has to do the restore at three in the morning builds differently during the day. For us, operations are not an attached contract but the reason why certain decisions are made one way and not another.

Servers are in German data centres, deployment is automated and reversible, backups are not only created but restored on a regular schedule. A backup that has never been restored isn’t a backup, it’s a hope.
